About Me

Welcome to The Pickleball Physio!

About Me:

Hi there! I'm thrilled to introduce myself as the founder of The Pickleball Physio. My name is Landon Uetz, and my journey into the world of physical therapy and pickleball has been nothing short of incredible. It all began with a genuine passion for helping people and a recognition of the growing need for quality health and rehab information within the vibrant Pickleball Community.

My Inspiration:

As Pickleball gains popularity across the country, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative impact it has on individuals from diverse backgrounds. This sport not only fosters physical well-being but also enhances mental and emotional health. Recognizing this, I made it my mission to provide an individualized approach to health and wellness specifically tailored for the Pickleball community. I am committed to being a trusted resource for anyone facing challenges that affect their ability to participate fully in this fantastic sport.

A Bit About My Background:

I hail from the beautiful (albeit cold) state of North Dakota, where I had the privilege of playing collegiate baseball at the University of Jamestown where I met my wonderful wife. I then pursued and achieved my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the esteemed University of North Dakota. After completing my studies, my wife and I decided to embark on a new adventure, and we relocated to Arizona in the Fall of 2020, seeking fresh experiences in a warmer climate.

Overcoming Challenges:

Throughout my life, I've encountered my fair share of injuries, with my low back being a notable one. These experiences have given me a unique perspective and deep empathy for others dealing with pain and physical limitations. One of the most remarkable chapters of my journey was returning to college baseball after a brief hiatus and being honored as the conference player of the year in 2016. This achievement, coupled with my academic and regular All-American status, further solidified my dedication to understanding the complexity of pain and injury.

My Approach:

I firmly believe that the road to recovery and well-being is a multi-faceted one, with many factors influencing the outcome. Having a reliable and trustworthy support system is essential in navigating the challenges that come with physical limitations. As your Pickleball Physio, I am committed to providing a positive and personalized experience during every interaction. You can count on me to be in your corner, offering the support and guidance you need on your journey to recovery and optimal performance.

Life Beyond Physical Therapy:

When I'm not busy with my work as a physical therapist, you'll find me on the local Arizona Pickleball courts, staying active through recreational running (yes, I might be a bit crazy), immersing myself in the great outdoors through hunting and fishing, or enjoying some of the best golf courses this country has to offer. As an avid Minnesota sports fan, I've experienced my fair share of ups and downs since 1994, but that won't stop me from attending at least one Vikings game each year, regardless of where I'm living.

Building Connections:

Creating and nurturing meaningful connections is an essential aspect of my life. I've been fortunate to establish relationships with people across the country, and I understand the importance of continuously building friendly and work-related connections.
